A little boy was selling newspapers on the corner, the people were in and out of the cold. The little boy was so cold that he wasn't trying to sell many papers. He walked up to a policeman and said, "Mister, you wouldn't happen to know where a poor boy could find a warm place to sleep tonight would you ? You see, I sleep in a box up around the corner there and down the alley and it's awful cold in there for tonight.
Sure would be nice to have a warm place to stay." The policeman looked down at the little boy and said, "You go down the street to that big white house and you knock on the door. When they come out the door you just say John 3:16, and they will let you in." So he did. He walked up the steps and knocked on the door, and a lady answered. He looked up and said, "John 3:16." The lady said, "Come on in, Son." She took him in and she sat him down in a split bottom rocker in front of a great big old fireplace, and she went off. The boy sat there for a while and thought to himself: John 3:16 ...I don't understand it, but it sure makes a cold boy warm. Later she came back and asked him "Are you hungry ? " He said, "Well, just a little. I haven't eaten in a couple of days, and I guess I could stand a little bit of food," The lady took him in the kitchen and sat him down to a table full of wonderful food. He ate and ate until he couldn't eat any more. Then he thought to himself: John 3:16 ...Boy, I sure don't understand it but it sure makes a hungry boy full. She took him upstairs to a bathroom to a huge bathtub filled with warm water, and he sat there and soaked for a while. As he soaked, he thought to himself: John 3:16 ... I sure don't understand it, but it sure makes a dirty boy clean. You know, I've not had a bath, a real bath, in my whole life. The only bath I ever had was when I stood in front of that big old fire hydrant as they flushed it out. The lady came in and got him. She took him to a room, tucked him into a big old feather bed, pulled the covers up around his neck, kissed him goodnight and turned out the lights. As he lay in the darkness and looked out the window at the snow coming down on that cold night, he thought to himself: John 3:16 ...I don't understand it but it sure makes a tired boy rested. The next morning the lady came back up and took him down again to that same big table full of food. After he ate, she took him back to that same big old split bottom rocker in front of the fireplace and picked up a big old Bible. She sat down in front of him and looked into his young face. "Do you understand John 3:16 ? " she asked gently. He replied, "No, Ma'am, I don't. The first time I ever heard it was last night when the policeman told me to use it," She opened the Bible to John 3:16 and began to explain to him about Jesus . Right there, in front of that big old fireplace, he gave his heart and life to Jesus. He sat there and thought: John 3:16 -- don't understand it, but it sure makes a lost boy feel safe. You know, I have to confess I don't understand it either, how God was willing to send His Son to die for me, and how Jesus would agree to do such a thing. I don't understand the agony of the Father and every angel in heaven as they watched Jesus suffer and die. I don't understand the intense love for ME that kept Jesus on the cross till the end. I don't understand it, but it sure does make life worth living. John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. If you aren't ashamed to do this, please follow the directions . Jesus said, "If you are ashamed of me, I will be ashamed of you before my Father." Pass this on only if you mean it. I do Love God . He is my source of existence.. He keeps me functioning each and every day. Phil 4:13 If you love God and are not ashamed of all the marvellous things he has done for you, send this on. All you do is: Simply say a small prayer for the person who sent you this, "Father, God bless this person in whatever it is that You know he or she may be needing this day In Jesus Name Amen ! "

China and the power of prayer
Be grateful you're not Wen Jiabao. Reuters is reporting this morning that the Chinese Premier is trying to convince South Korea and Japan that Beijing wants to be their economic partner. At the same time, his country has maintained enough support for North Korea to perhaps influence the rogue nation to abandon nuclear weapons. This is not the last time China will be in the headlines this week.
In the last five minutes, 67 babies were born in the U.S., while 274 were born in China and 395 in India. China will soon be the largest English-speaking nation on earth. China and India together graduate six times more engineers and scientists than America. If current trends continue, within a generation China will be the world's largest economy.
God's Kingdom is on the march in this fascinating nation. Missiologists think that as many as 100,000 people become Christians every day in China. Estimates range between 100 million and 300 million believers in the nation. If the latter is true, the largest Christian nation in history is the People's Republic of China.
It was my great privilege to spend last week in Beijing, where I witnessed personally the power of the Christian movement in China. Our hosts were Jon and Cyndi Davis; Jon serves the Beijing International Christian Fellowship (http://www.bicf.org/) as Senior Elder while Cyndi is working to develop youth resources for the church and nation. Natives of Oregon, the two have been serving in East Asia for more than 20 years. They are gracious beyond words, Spirit-filled and servant-hearted.
Their congregation numbers some 4,000 worshipers, meeting in 16 different languages. They have an enormous vision to impact the business community of Beijing through seminars, relational events and worship services. World-class CEOs and leaders are part of this initiative. They are making a critical difference every day in the most populous nation on earth. I urge you to join me in praying for God to empower and use them in miraculous ways today.
BICF is part of the Great Awakening taking place in many nations today. Yoido Full Gospel Church in Seoul, Korea is one example of this movement. The largest church in history with more than a million members, the congregation began on May 15, 1958 with seven in attendance. They are organized through house churches and cell groups. They also meet at 4 every morning to pray. Their pastor says that everyone wants to copy his cell groups, but no one wants to copy his 4 AM prayer meeting.
When we pray, God works in ways we cannot see or measure. George Mueller, the great minister and man of faith, prayed patiently for five personal friends who did not know the Lord. After five years, one came to Christ. In ten more years, two more became Christians. After 25 years, the fourth friend came to Christ. He kept praying for the last friend for 52 years, then Mueller died. The fifth friend came to know Jesus a few months afterward.
Jesus' exhortation, translated literally, is to "ask and keep on asking, and it will be given to you" (Matthew 7:7). Is God calling you to persistent prayer today?

Mission Statement & History "Why should I witness?" Several reasons should come to mind. First, because Jesus commands you to and if you are a Christian, He gives you the desire to witness. Lost people do not have a desire to witness:(Acts 1:1-11) The mission of Bold is to equip Christians to be witnesses for our Lord & Savior Jesus Christ. 2 Timothy 4:1. In the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who will judge the living and the dead, and in view of his appearing and his kingdom, I give you this charge: 2. Preach the Word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage--with great patience and careful instruction. 3. For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. 4. They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths. 5. But you, keep your head in all situations, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, discharge all the duties of your ministry.
